Everyone Is Entitled To My Opinion

Well, here it is. My first ever blog post. After thinking about this for a couple years, and being inspired by a friend who recently re-started his blog, I finally took the leap.

Why do this now?  I needed a new hobby, and since I enjoy writing, there is no better way to keep up my writing skills--and join the "new media" --than to start a blog.

In this space, you will read about many different subjects. Most blogs focus on one thing--be it sports, politics, entertainment, or whatever.  But why limit yourself? People have thoughts and opinions on many subjects, and that is what this blog will be. One day it may be a movie review, the next a story of travel. You never know! (Hence, the name of the blog.)

Now, there is an audience participation part......my goal, starting with this post, is to have at least two original pieces a month. I'm asking you, dear reader, to keep me honest about this. Also, any story ideas you might have....send those along too!

I'll end today with giving credit where it's due. First, the title of this post is taken from the David Brinkley book of the same name. Second, the title of the blog is a take-off of the character "Katy"s blog from the book "Spider Bones" by Kathy Reichs. Apologies to Mr. Brinkley and Ms. Reichs.
